November

This is the time of year that we like to reflect on our past successes and show our gratitude to all of you who have loyally supported us. All of us at Alfie’s would like to wish you a healthy and happy Thanksgiving holiday. November brings cooler weather and along with it our northern friends! Welcome back to our “snow bird” guests, we hope to see you often. We are busily preparing for our Gingerbread Festival, we would love for you to participate, it’s a fun, cheerful holiday activity to do as a group or with your family or grandkids and it’s for a good cause. This year, proceeds will be donated to the Ormond by the Sea Lions Club. Alfie’s Gift Cards are available and make great holiday gifts.

October

Fantastico is the only word to describe our visit to Italy. We had an amazing journey that we will never forget. I truly hope you followed our journey on our blog, if not please do so. Our wine selections should be arriving soon so those of you who got all your passport stamps can collect it as soon as it arrives. We hoped you enjoyed your tour of Italy as much as we enjoyed ours. Our Heart Walk efforts again were a huge success thanks to my teammates that took over in my absence and to all the support of our guests! October brings the change of seasons and fun events coming up, like guessing the weight of our our giant pumpkin, Octoberfest and our very popular Gingerbread Festival. Start digging out those expired coupons for Amnesty Days this month and of course, don’t miss Greg’s Mexican Night! Ciao’

September

Ahhhh, September! September is Anniversary month for Alfie’s! We have been serving Ormond by the Sea for 23 years! September is also Greg and my 17th Anniversary! Come on in to Alfie’s during September and celebrate these important milestones with us. This is also the month of our long awaited Tour of Italy. Be sure to use your passport while we are away and we promise to find some hearty Italian wine to share with you when we return! I have promised to blog our daily activities on our blog site so please check it out at http://alfiesrestaurant.blogspot.com/. The plans are all set and we are very excited! One lucky guest, Tom Mancuso was chosen to go alligator hunting with Greg! As of this writing the date for the hunt was set for September 1. Don’t forget to enter the “Guess the Size of the Gator” contest. The winner of the Lottery Tree will be chosen on Aug. 28 so I will have to reveal that one next month. Please support our efforts to support the American Heart Association! Til then……Ciao’

AUGUST

Salve’ Friends! I hope by now you have seen our 2 minutes of fame on Fox 35 News! Chef Karl and I were invited to appear on the “Let’s Eat” segment during 4th of July weekend. Thanks to everyone who had breakfast at Alfie’s that day and cheered us on while we appeared live at the studios. It was great fun! We had a very busy holiday and spent time with the grand baby and are busily planning our trip to Italy. We are open to any suggestions anyone may have that have already visited there. There is a lot going on this month at Alfie’s, Greg is still looking for a gator hunting partner and don’t forget to sign up for our Giant Lottery Tree! You must be a Royalty Reward Card Holder! Hope you’re having a great summer! Ciao’

July

Hello! Greg and I just returned from beautiful San Francisco, California. We were there for our tri-annual Restaurant Marketing Meeting. I have spoken to many of you about this group but for those of you who don’t know, this is where we meet up with hundreds of like minded restaurant owners and share ideas of how to keep our restaurant innovative and fun and still provide excellent food and service! Apparently we are learning some good stuff as Greg and I were named 1st Runner-Up Ambassadors and we received an all expense paid Dream Vacation to Italy!!! We are very excited!
I hope by now that most of you are following us on Facebook or have at least logged in to see what it is all about. I have a personal page and an Alfie’s Restaurant page where we keep up to the minute on special events, happenings, pictures and even our grandson who is now 10 weeks old. Our newest trend is using Twitter.com to constantly update our guests on what is happening at Alfie’s. I encourage you to log on to www.twitter.com and follow us there as well. You can never be too connected! Ciao’
